What I collect

When you buy, I receive your email address, the name you give at checkout, and the details of what you bought and when. Payment is processed by Whop and your card details go to them, not to me. I never see your card number.

If you write to me, I hold that email and my reply.

Analytics and cookies

This site runs Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and roughly where in the world they came from. It does not use cookies, it does not fingerprint your browser, and it does not follow you to any other site. There is no advertising network anywhere on this site.

The checkout is an embedded Whop component, and Whop may set its own cookies to make the payment work and to prevent fraud. Their privacy policy covers that.

Why I hold it

To deliver what you bought, to send your download links and receipt, to handle refunds and support, and to keep the records that tax and accounting rules require. If you ask me a question, to answer it.

If you choose to hear from me about new books or later editions, I use your email for that too. That is optional, it is never a condition of buying, and every message has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

The legal basis

Performing my contract with you, for delivery and support. Legal obligation, for financial records. Consent, for any marketing email. A legitimate interest in running a small business honestly, for the rest.

Who else sees it

Whop, who process the payment. My email provider, who sends the delivery message. Netlify, who host this site, and Cloudflare, who store the files and count the page views. Nobody else, unless the law requires it. I do not sell or rent your details to anyone, ever.

Some of these providers operate outside your country, so your data may be processed abroad. Where that happens it is done under the safeguards that data protection law requires.

How long I keep it

Order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Marketing consent until you withdraw it. Support emails for as long as they are useful, and not longer.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, object to how I use it, ask me to restrict what I do with it, or ask for it in a portable form. Write to support@earljacksonbbq.com and it will be done. There is no charge and no form to fill in.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. I would rather you told me first and gave me the chance to put it right.

Children

This is not sold to children and I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the bottom changes with it.
